In co-operation with Indian government and the villagers we are building new basic school for children from Zanskar Range, Himalayas. This ecological passive solar building will serve for the children’s tuition, for children’s library and also for a long awaited facilities for Tibetan and local teachers.

For the last two years we have been helping to a small boy called Odzer to get back to a normal life. He suffers from severe burns on 40% of his body and so far underwent two plastic surgeries. Now he is waiting for his third operation which should help to set in motion his right hand.
We are setting up children libraries
First we did a collection of English, Hindi and Bodhig books and now we are setting up two children libraries. One we will build for small monks in Phuktal monastery and the second in the new proposed basic school in the village of Kargyak. So far we have transported more then five hundred books on horses to the very remote region of Zanskar valley.
Since winter 2009 can children from a small mountain village train on snowboards during the long winter months. There are four months school holidays in winter so the children are happy to have this new winter sport entertainment.
In an altitude of 4 200m we have built a greenhouse, which works even during long winter months. Now we are teaching children how to plant, cultivate and harvest the vegetable in their greenhouse.
